Kim Kardashian returned to Paris this week to testify in court about the terrifying 2016 robbery where she was held at gunpoint in her hotel suite. The reality star and entrepreneur shared her emotional story during a three-hour testimony on Tuesday, speaking directly to the people accused of robbing her.
Kim recalled the moment masked men broke into her room, tied her up, and held a gun to her head. She said, “I was sure they were going to shoot me.” The robbers stole more than $10 million worth of jewelry, including her famous engagement ring.
For the first time, Kim faced the suspects in person. One of the men on trial expressed regret for his actions. Kim responded, “I do appreciate it, I forgive you,” but she also added, “It doesn’t change the emotion, the feelings, and the trauma and the way my life has changed.”
She thanked the French court for giving her the chance to speak and share her truth.
A total of 10 people — nine men and one woman — are standing trial for the crime. The robbery changed Kim’s life, and now, nearly eight years later, she’s finally getting to close this painful chapter.
