Prince's estate not happy about Trump playing his music

No one seems to want their music played at any Donald Trump event. Not Rihanna, not Adele, not Pharrell, and now…not Prince’s Estate. At a recent Trump campaign event in Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis, attendees witnessed his hit song “Purple Rain” blaring through the speakers.Once Prince’s estate caught wind of this, they were quick to release a statement on Twitter:

“President Trump played Prince’s “Purple Rain” tonight at a campaign event in Minneapolis despite confirming a year ago that the campaign would not use Prince’s music. The Prince Estate will never give permission to President Trump to use Prince’s songs.”

They also included a letter from a law firm that represents the president confirming that they would no longer play any of Prince’s music.
