Losing someone near the holidays is a tough thing. But to lose your Mother on Thanksgiving has to be heartbreaking. That’s what happened to Oprah Winfrey. Vernita Lee passed away at the age of 83 and has reportedly already been laid to rest in a private ceremony. It has been well documented that Oprah didn’t always have the best relationship with her Mother. But in recent years, they were able to mend their relationship.
