Don't cry for the Carters.
Despite Beyonce's disappointing lose at the Grammys a few weeks ago, it is all good in the Knowles-Carter household. That's because Jay-Z is set to become the first rapper ever to be inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. In an announcement on CBS's Good Morning America, Nile Rodgers said he believes Jay Z "changed the way we listen to music."
But Mr. Carter isn't the only one joining music's elite, he'll be joined by this year's other inductees: producer Max Martin; Motown founder Berry Gordy; Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis of The Time; Robert Lamm, James Pankow and Peter Cetera of Chicago; and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.
