You cannot go wrong with a hearty BBQ sandwich! Especially as warmer weather approaches and the thought of a nice Spring picnic is reintroduced into the thoughts of Americans living in cities that have endured the harshness of winter for far too long.

While there are a handful of restaurants scattered across Michigan that serve this delicious meal, only one is known for crafting the best BBQ around. This state staple is often praised for using high quality ingredients to carefully craft the most mouthwatering BBQ in Michigan. And don't even get us started on their sides!

According to a list compiled by Food & Wine, the best place to order a BBQ sandwich in Michigan is Ricewood in Ann Arbor.

Here's what Food & Wine had to say about the best place to enjoy BBQ in the entire state:

"Eating at home also gives you the opportunity to try new things, for example eating brisket over a bowl of chewy short-grain rice, the high-quality kind they grow in Northern California, which you can find it in most supermarkets and easily make at home. Throw in a splash of whatever kind of condiment, from Red Boat to Sriracha to a few dashes of Kikkoman, and then some chopped scallions so you can say you ate a vegetable, and there you have it — one of the best leftover lunches of all time. The inspiration for this dish, I'll happily cop to, came after a visit to Frank Ferejan's Chamorro-style Ricewood in Ann Arbor, one of the Midwest's most welcomed, most unexpected contributions to the culture in recent years. At first operating a seasonal thing out of a local wine bar, Ferejan now has his own place. Michigan's best brisket, over two scoops rice, Tuesday to Saturday."
