Lady Gaga's dognapping debacle, which saw her two French Bulldogs stolen and her dogwalker shot, may have been part of a gang initiation.
As per TMZ, authorities believe that the violent February ordeal may have been part of some initiation as there have been similar crimes in the Los Angeles area. Part of that theory exists because of the surveillance footage of the incident, which saw Ryan Fischer located from a distance to the three dogs during the nighttime Hollywood outing. The canines happened to be on the other side of the dognappers, which leads authorities to believe that the pets could have been pulled into the car and driven away. The perpetrators decided to shoot Fischer in the chest.
Additionally, authorities have told the superstar not to pay the woman who found the dogs the $500,000 reward until they determine whether she had involvement in the ordeal. Apparently, cops don't believe that the woman was part of the dognapping incident, but they are currently trying to figure out if she had any involvement after the fact. Gaga, on the other hand, is reportedly more than willing to pay the woman if she's cleared by authorities.
As per PEOPLE, the star is "emotional and grateful" that Fischer is expected to make a full recovery. "She was very emotional and grateful," an insider told the celebrity gossip outlet of Gaga, who had been in Italy during the incident. "[When] she got the terrible news from Los Angeles, she was extremely upset. She was worried about her friend and her dogs. It was a terrible start to her Italian work trip."
