Aretha Franklin is inspiring new cancer research

Today on Mix 92.3, we honored the Queen of Soul one-year after her passing.I can’t believe it’s been a year since our hearts were broken upon hearing the news of the death of Aretha Franklin.So much has happened since then.A portion of the Lodge has been renamed the "Aretha L. Franklin Memorial Highway" in her honor and Chene Park has been renamed “The Aretha Franklin Amphitheater!”Her legacy lives on through the incredible music she made and her incredible work.She’s even now giving life, even in death and inspiring new cancer research!The rare disease that took her life is receiving some research backing.The Aretha Franklin Fund for Neuroendocrine Cancer Research has been launched to tackle the disease and help others!All Hail The QUEEN!!
