Jussie Smollett's character removed from the final episodes of "Empire"

Jamal "Be Lyin" is out of a job. It was announced this morning that Jussie Smollett's character will be cut from the final episodes of "Empire". It was also reported today that his cast mates were angry with him and wanted him fired. That's virtually what happened. He is now released from a Chicago prison after posting bond. He faces 3 years in prison for filing a false police report. See below for the joint statement from the show's producers, posted on the 20th Century Fox TV twitter page.
