Kerry Washington on the end of "Scandal"

Did you catch the finale event of ABC’s “Scandal”?  So do you think Olivia ended up President??  Producer and writer Shonda Rhimes intentionally left the episode open to interpretation.  Here’s what the star of the show Kerry Washington had to say about her role.

"I feel like whenever I play a character, I feel she comes into my life to teach me something. I've never had the privilege of playing a character for this long, but of the many things Olivia Pope has given me is this sense that anything's possible, that there's always a way through."

She also said, "I think it's one of the reasons why I started a production company. It's one of the reasons why I've done a lot of the things that have required courage."

It’s hard to be a Hollywood actress and not see the impact that the #MeToo movement has had.  Here’s what she had to say.

"A big part of that is actually resisting this idea of [us] being siphoned off and only allowing one of [us] in the room."
